Set on the tops above Littleborough, on the edge of the
Lancashire/Yorkshire border with panoramic views
overlooking the South Pennine moors. Fielden Farm offers
self catering accommodation in 2 separate cottages that
were formerly part of a barn and a shippon.
The first cottage accommodating two people opened in
September 2010, the second, which is larger, is completed
to the same standard and was finished March 2011, both have
been awarded a 4 star rating by Visit Britain in August
2011. The cottages are energy efficient, underfloor heating
throughout is provided by renewable Groundsource Heating
and gained 100% in a recent statutory energy performance
assessment.
The cottages have a continental feel, providing good
quality, affordable accommodation with all the mod cons,
ideal as a base for business or leisure.
This is a great place for people who enjoy
the outdoors! Walking routes lead from the door from short
strolls to full day hikes on the tops, The Pennine Way
crosses the top of nearby Blackstone Edge, the Pennine
Bridleway in down the road and we overlook Hollingworth
Lake with its Watersport Activity Centre and Whittaker Golf
Club.
The train from Littleborough will take you to Manchester in
just 30 minutes or you can get to Hebden Bridge, voted the
funkiest town in Great Britain, in the other direction in
just 20 minutes.
The M62 is just 10 minutes away, Rakewood Viaduct is
visible from the farm in the distance.
Here is the best of both
worlds.... seclusion with accessibility.
